BE THE CHURCH SUNDAY 2026

Sunday, July 26th

On Sunday, July 26th, we’re stepping out of the building and into our communities for Be the Church Sunday! Instead of a regular service, we’ll be serving people in practical ways across our towns and neighborhoods. Find out what your location has planned below—and don’t forget to wear your bright orange shirt (we’ll have extras available if you don’t have one)!

As we prepare, we’d love to hear your ideas for community projects. If you know of individuals, families, or organizations outside of Bridgewater that could use a helping hand, let us know! While it’s always important to care for those within our church family, Be the Church Sunday is specifically focused on serving those in our communities who don’t attend Bridgewater. Let’s take this opportunity to show the love of Jesus to our neighbors!

Choconut

Meeting at the Choconut Elementary school at 10:00am.

We will have lunch after beginning at 11:00am.

Elk Lake

Meet at the Elk Lake location at 9:00am to receive your project assignment. After serving, return to the campus by 12:00pm to enjoy lunch together!

Hallstead

If you still need a project, come to the campus at 9:00AM or 10:45AM to grab a coffee and a donut while signing up. If you’ve already signed up, you can head straight to your project at 9:00AM or 10:45AM (whichever time slot you signed up for).

Join us for lunch and an opportunity to impact the community at the Prospect Park Apartments in Susquehanna at 1:00PM. We are inviting the residents of the apartments to join us for lunch, so please come out to build relationships with them and point them to Jesus!

Hancock

Meet at Community Square at 9:45am for project assignments and to pick up a Be the Church shirt if you don’t already have one. Let’s serve our community together!

Montrose

Come to the campus by 9:00 or 10:45 to sign up for a project, enjoy coffee and a donut while you meet your team, and head out to serve for an hour or so. If you’ve already signed up for a project, you may go straight to the location as directed by your Project or Small Group Leader. A variety of options will be available at numerous locations - ranging from a fun and family friendly hour to several hours requiring skilled labor, depending on the needs in our communities!

Lunch will be available back at the campus (in the auditorium) from 11:30am–1:00pm.

Childcare is provided for nursery and preschoolers from 8:45am–12:00pm. Be the Church shirts will be available for anyone who needs one!

Tunkhannock
